Music Business Academy is an educational platform for artists, composers and aspiring professionals with a special emphasis on the independent scene. In successive masterclasses, we will gradually learn what has to happen with musical creation from the moment it is written to the moment it earns money; all the ways music can be monetized and how to make sure the money goes to everyone it belongs to. Our focus is on music licensing and music publishing.
We will shine a light on the chronically non-transparent and frustrating layers of the music industry, which deprive music creators not only of the joy of creating, but also of money.
Masterclasses, workshops and webinars will be announced gradually and they will be available as recordings for participants and the professional public.

As an independent artist there is a lot to learn about managing your music online. Lucie Janečková a Marie Zhořová will host a workshop on navigating the differences between content platforms such as YouTube, and streaming platforms.
There will be a Q&A on royalty collection and distribution. Workshop will be hosted in English and it will be recorded.
